Glass balustrades for terraces and pool areas

Clean sightlines and an uninterrupted view, with the fixing method determined by the structure.

MEASURED ON SITE · MADE FOR THE OPENING

The glass is only part of the system

A balustrade depends on suitable glass, correct height, secure fixings and a supporting structure that can accept the loads.

Balustrade height, glass and supporting structure are regulated and must be established for the individual installation. The required specification depends on factors including the drop beyond the barrier and the structure receiving the fixings.

Where they are used

Glass is often chosen where a solid wall would interrupt a sea, valley or pool view.

  • Raised terraces
  • Balconies
  • Pool surrounds
  • External steps and level changes

Survey and specification

The site visit checks the substrate and edge condition before a fixing detail is proposed. Where technical justification is required, the regulated height, glass and supporting structure must be established by the appropriate technician or project architect. The installer does not replace that safety determination. Any required building or community approval also remains separate.
