Persianas sit outside the glass and can block direct sun before it reaches the room. Used early on hot days, they help reduce heat entering exposed bedrooms and living areas.
The shutter needs to suit the width and height of the opening. The box, guides and operating method also have to fit without obstructing the window, door or any mosquito screen.
New and replacement persianas
Older shutters can become brittle, uneven or difficult to lift. Replacement may involve the shutter curtain alone or a wider update to the box, axle, guides and operating method according to their condition.
When windows, shutters and mosquito nets are being changed together, all three should be planned at the same time. Boxes, guides, handles and screen cassettes need enough room to work independently.
Manual and motorised operation
Manual systems use a strap or winder and remain a straightforward choice for smaller openings. Motors remove the effort of lifting larger shutters and can make daily heat control easier.

Survey and installation
Danny checks the opening, shutter box, guides and any electrical requirements at the property. The position of nearby handles, window leaves and screen cassettes is included in the survey.
Persianas are supplied and installed across Jávea, Moraira, Dénia and Benitachell.
Repairs to an existing persiana
A shutter that will not rise may have a broken strap, damaged slat, axle problem or failed motor. Danny inspects the mechanism before recommending a complete replacement.
Existing systems are covered by the persiana repair service. A repair can retain the shutter when the remaining components are sound and the required parts are available.
