Window and door installation and repair work is available throughout Orba, including the village, Orbeta and the surrounding residential areas. Danny has worked across Orba during 30 years in the trade and takes on small repair jobs as well as complete replacements.
If a window or door has become difficult to open, close or lock, the starting point is the fault. Replacement is discussed when the frame is damaged, suitable parts cannot be sourced or the owner wants a different material or opening arrangement.
Start with the fault
Opening problems can have several causes. A hinged window may have a failed handle, worn hinge, locking fault or poor alignment. A sliding panel may be affected by its rollers, track or lock. Which of these applies is established at inspection, not from the symptom alone.
The symptoms still matter, because they tell Danny what to check first. Say whether the window or door catches the frame, moves part of the way and stops, closes but will not lock, has become unusually heavy, needs to be lifted or pushed into position, or has a loose or unresponsive handle.
Danny checks how the complete unit works before agreeing a repair. A sound frame may remain in place when the problem is confined to working parts that can still be obtained.
The wider repair service covers windows, doors, persianas, mosquito screens and related faults.
When replacing the complete window makes sense
Replacement becomes relevant when the frame itself is damaged or when several connected faults make continued repair impractical. It may also be the better route when the owner wants to alter the way the window opens, improve the seal or change the frame material.
A new window is measured around the complete opening. Danny checks the surrounding render, tiles or stone and records the required frame divisions, colour, opening sections and glass. The glass is chosen for the room at the same time; see double glazing and solar-control glass.
The repair or replace page gives a fuller explanation of that decision.
Terrace and entrance doors in Orba
A terrace door is used differently from a small window. The width of the opening, daily movement through it, floor levels and any mosquito screen or persiana all affect the finished arrangement.
Sliding doors keep the panels within their tracks and can suit openings where a hinged leaf would take up useful room. Their movement depends on the relationship between the glass weight, rollers, track, locking and alignment, so these are matched to each other rather than chosen separately.
Entrance doors require a firm close, suitable locking and a threshold that works with the existing floors. The amount and position of glass also affect privacy and natural light inside the entrance.
See sliding and patio doors and replacement entrance doors for the available arrangements.
Orba village and surrounding homes
Danny works in the village, in Orbeta and at the houses spread through the rest of the municipality. If a gate, exterior steps or a restricted delivery route would affect getting a large frame or glazed panel to the opening, mention it when arranging the visit. If nothing like that applies, there is nothing to add.
Photographs and inspection
Send one photograph of the whole window or door with the wall around it and, for a door, the floor on both sides of the threshold. Add a closer shot of the handle, lock, hinge or track where it is safe to take one and a short video if the fault only shows during movement.
Photographs tell Danny where to look. They cannot show whether the frame is sound or whether parts can be sourced, so they do not confirm repairability or produce a quotation. Danny is fully insured, and measurement and inspection at the property come before anything is ordered or an uncertain repair is agreed.
Nearby, Danny also covers Jalón/Xaló, Pedreguer and Ondara.
Tell Danny what has stopped working or what you want to replace. Send the Orba location and one photograph showing the complete opening. A short video can help show where the movement changes.
