The enquiry form asks for your name, telephone number, property location and a description of the work you would like discussed. If you contact Danny by email, telephone or WhatsApp, the information you choose to provide through that service is also received.

Why information is used and the legal basis

Enquiry information is used to respond, discuss the property, arrange a requested site visit and prepare or follow up a quotation. This processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract. Where an enquiry does not lead to a contract, limited correspondence may also be retained when necessary for the legitimate interests of maintaining accurate business records, dealing with follow-up questions and protecting legal rights, provided those interests do not override your rights.

If work is agreed, information needed to provide the service, invoice and meet tax or other legal obligations is processed for performance of the contract and compliance with applicable law.

Recipients and service providers

The website is hosted by Shock Hosting on infrastructure identified by the hosting account as located in New York, United States. Enquiries submitted through the form are delivered to a Google Gmail account. Those providers process information to provide hosting and email services. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or where necessary for professional advice or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

WhatsApp is an optional separate contact method. If you choose it, your use of that service is also governed by WhatsApp’s own privacy information.

International transfers

Because the hosting infrastructure is in the United States and Google may process information internationally, personal data may be processed outside the European Economic Area. Where transfer rules apply, the relevant provider is responsible for using a lawful transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards for its service. How long information is kept

Enquiry information is kept only for as long as reasonably needed to respond and manage the requested service. If work is agreed, relevant business and transaction records are retained for the periods required by applicable tax, accounting and legal rules. Information may be kept longer only where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may exercise a right by emailing danny@javeawindows.com. Enough information may be requested to confirm your identity and locate the relevant records.
