New windows and doors
The replacement-window service includes aluminium and PVC frames. Aluminium suits larger spans and slimmer frames, while PVC is often used where firm closing and insulation are priorities.
Glass is chosen separately for heat, noise, safety or solar control.
Replacement doors include entrance doors, hinged terrace doors and sliding or patio arrangements. Danny measures the complete opening and checks the surrounding render, tiles or stone.
Different parts of Dénia, different openings
Enquiries from central Dénia, from along Les Marines and from around Montgó or La Sella can raise different questions, but the decision always begins with the individual opening, the room and what you want the new window or door to do.
For a central apartment, floor and shared-access information may be needed, and the owner may have to confirm community rules before ordering.
For a property along Les Marines, glass, finish and hardware are chosen for the actual elevation and exposure of each opening. There is no single "coastal specification": if a terrace door faces the sea and a bathroom window is sheltered, they may correctly end up with different glass and different finishes. For a villa around Montgó or La Sella, glass is specified per room where elevations face different ways. Mention a gate, steps or another restricted route only if it could affect delivery of a large frame.
Access for larger frames
For an apartment, add the floor level and whether there is a lift or shared entrance a frame would need to pass through, if that applies. For a villa, mention a gate or exterior steps only if they would affect how a larger frame or glazed panel reaches the opening.
For an apartment or another community-controlled property, the owner should check any requirements affecting visible frame colour, divisions or door style before an order is placed. The agreed details can then be recorded clearly in the quotation.
Repairs in Dénia
A window that no longer closes properly or a door that has become difficult to move may need adjustment or replacement hardware. Misting between the panes usually points to a failed sealed glass unit rather than a problem with the complete window.
Subject to inspection, a failed sealed unit may be replaceable within the existing frame without the complete window being renewed; see double glazing. Windows and doors that catch, drag, fail to close or no longer lock are inspected the same way (handle and gearbox, locking points, hinges or rollers, track and whether the sash or panel sits square), and the repair stays with those parts when the frame is sound and compatible parts exist.
When movement is the problem, a short video shows where the window or door begins to catch. Danny will inspect the complete unit before agreeing the repair; photographs and video decide what to look at first, not whether a repair is possible.
