Based in Pedreguer
Jávea Windows operates from Partida Jara 55B, 03750 Pedreguer. That is where Danny is based between jobs. It is not a shop, there are no windows on display and there are no public opening hours. Everything that matters (the size of the opening, the state of the frame, the finish around it) is at your property, so that is where the work starts.
Being based in Pedreguer does not mean a different service from the one offered elsewhere. The same replacement windows, replacement doors and repairs are available on the same basis.
Thirty years working with windows and doors
Danny has worked with windows and doors across Pedreguer and the surrounding area during 30 years in the trade. He undertakes complete replacements and repair-only jobs and is fully insured.
That experience is particularly useful when the cause of a fault is not obvious from the handle or visible part alone. An opening problem may come from its hardware, alignment, frame or a combination of parts, and a site visit lets Danny distinguish between a repairable working fault and a window or door that needs more extensive work. Windows and doors that will not open or close
Across the whole service area, the most common repair enquiries concern windows or doors that no longer open, close, slide or lock correctly.
The symptoms help Danny decide what to inspect. A handle that turns without operating the lock may involve the handle, gearbox or locking points. A door that closes only when lifted may have moved out of alignment or have a hinge-related fault. Heavy or noisy sliding movement may involve worn rollers, the track or the position of the panel.
Danny inspects the complete opening because more than one part can contribute to the same symptom. Avoid forcing a stiff window or door, as this can cause further damage.

Repairing the existing unit
A repair can retain the original frame, glass or panels when those parts remain serviceable. Handles, locks, hinges, rollers, tracks and persiana components can be dealt with separately where compatible parts are available.
Photographs help identify the type of unit. A short video can be more useful when the problem only appears during movement. Neither replaces an inspection when the cause or condition is uncertain, and no repair is promised from an image alone. Danny does not rule out any category of repair in advance either. Every repair depends on what is found at inspection, the condition of the frame and whether compatible parts can be sourced.
Complete replacement
A new window or door may be appropriate when the frame is damaged, compatible parts are no longer obtainable or the owner wants a different material, division or opening style.
Danny measures the complete opening and checks the surrounding render, tiles, stone and floor levels before the order is prepared. Aluminium or PVC, the glass, colour and hardware are specified as one system.

Glass for the opening
The correct glass depends on the room, not the address. Solar-control, acoustic and safety glass are separate options and are considered opening by opening; see double glazing for heat, noise and comfort and solar-control glass.
