Replacement windows, doors and repair work are available throughout Ondara. Danny works on individual opening faults as well as planned replacements involving several windows or doors.
The first step is to establish what you want to change. A window that has stopped locking needs a different assessment from a complete replacement intended to alter the material, glass or way the opening works.
Work in houses and apartments
Every new window is measured at the property. Danny records the complete opening, the surrounding finish and the position of any fixed and opening sections.
For an apartment, provide the floor level and details of a shared entrance or lift when they could affect the visit or delivery. Owners should also check any community requirements before changing a visible frame colour, division or door style.
For a house, the same principle applies: the proposed system must suit the opening and daily use, and windows within the same house do not all need the same configuration.
Danny has carried out window and door work across Ondara during his 30 years in the trade.
Windows and doors that drag, catch or will not lock
Movement and locking faults usually need the whole window or door examined, not just the part that seems to have failed.
A hinged window or door may catch because its position within the frame has changed; its hinges, handle and locking components also affect how it closes. A sliding door depends on its rollers, track and panel alignment. Replacing one visible part will not resolve a connected fault elsewhere in the system, which is why Danny inspects the frame, panels, glass and working hardware before agreeing the repair.
Where the frame, panels and glass are still usable and the failed part can be sourced, the window or door stays and only the part changes. Whether that applies is decided at the property.
Replacing windows and doors
Replacement may be appropriate when the frame has been damaged, the required parts are unavailable or you want a different arrangement. The replacement windows and replacement doors pages explain the options.
The quotation should make the proposal clear. It will identify the window or door configuration, aluminium or PVC frame, glass, colour, hardware and work to the surrounding finish. Guarantees vary between systems and are confirmed for the specific frame, glass and hardware proposed, before the order is placed.
Read what a window quotation should include before comparing proposals.
Different glass for different needs
Solar control, thermal insulation, noise reduction and safety are separate performance considerations, although more than one can be addressed within a suitable glass specification. Solar-control coatings are intended to limit solar energy entering through the glass. Thermal performance also depends on the sealed unit and low-emissivity coatings. Acoustic performance depends on the complete pane build-up, while safety requirements depend on the position and use of the glass, and the applicable requirement should be confirmed for the particular installation.
A description such as "double glazing" does not establish the complete specification. The quotation should identify the glass proposed for each opening. See double glazing for heat, noise and comfort for the elements that affect performance.
Before arranging the visit
Send the Ondara location and a photograph showing the complete opening. Include a closer view if the handle, lock, hinge, roller or track is visibly damaged and a short video if the window or door stops during movement.
Danny is fully insured. He confirms the cause, the condition of the frame and the measurements at the property; photographs and video help him decide what to inspect but do not confirm repairability or produce a quotation.
Ondara sits between Dénia and Pedreguer, where Danny is based, and he also covers Orba.
Tell Danny whether the Ondara enquiry concerns a repair, one replacement opening or wider work at the property, and send a photograph of the complete window or door.
