Sliding, patio and hinged doors
Sliding doors keep their panels within the tracks and suit broad glazed openings leading to terraces or nayas. Their size, glass weight, rollers, locks and threshold all affect how the finished door moves.
Hinged patio doors need clear swing space beside the opening. Aluminium is commonly used for larger sliding and terrace doors. PVC often suits smaller glazed doors where firm sealing and insulation are priorities.

Entrance doors
An entrance door needs to close firmly, lock correctly and work with the existing threshold and surrounding finish. The amount of glass affects privacy and light inside the entrance.

Glass, hardware and thresholds
The frame material does not decide the glass specification. Safety, security, heat and noise can require different pane build-ups.
The threshold must work with the floor levels on both sides of the door. Drainage, weather exposure and any tracks or guides for persianas and mosquito screens also need to be considered before the new system is ordered.
What the quotation covers
The site visit records dimensions, floor levels, access and the render, tiles or stone around the existing frame. A replacement quotation should identify the door arrangement, aluminium or PVC frame, glass, colour, hardware, threshold and making good.

When the existing door can be repaired
Rollers, tracks, locks, handles, hinges and alignment can affect the way a door moves or closes. The original frame, panels and glass may remain when the fault is confined to working parts that can still be sourced.
These faults are covered by the door repair service. Replacement becomes relevant when the frame is damaged, compatible parts are unavailable or a different door arrangement is wanted.
