Replacing older doors
Many local villas and apartments still have aluminium or timber doors that have become heavy, poorly sealed or difficult to lock. Replacement can improve daily operation as well as weather protection, comfort and security.
Danny first checks whether adjustment or new components could solve the problem. Where the frame or complete system has reached the end of its useful life, the new door is measured around the existing opening and surrounding finishes.
Sliding and patio doors
Sliding systems suit broad openings onto terraces and nayas while hinged French doors provide a different opening pattern. Compare the arrangements on the sliding and patio doors page.
Entrance doors
Entrance doors need to balance appearance, daily operation, weather resistance and security. The entrance-door page covers frames, thresholds, glazing and locking in detail.
Aluminium or PVC
Aluminium is commonly used for larger sliding and terrace openings because of its strength. PVC can suit smaller glazed doors and entrances where insulation and sealing are priorities. The material is chosen after the opening has been assessed.
Survey, quotation and installation
The site visit covers dimensions, floor levels, access and the condition of the surrounding render, tiles or stone. The quotation should state the door arrangement, frame material, glass, colour, hardware and making good included.
Replacement doors are installed across Jávea, Moraira, Dénia and Benitachell. Send Danny a photograph or arrange a visit to discuss the opening.
